Staff Selection Commission (SSC)
The SSC Stenographer Grade C & Grade D Examination is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to recruit Stenographers in various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations of the Government of India. The selection process consists of a Computer-Based Examination (CBT) followed by a Skill Test in Stenography. The CBT evaluates candidates in General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language & Comprehension, while the Skill Test assesses shorthand and transcription speed.
Duration
CBT: 2 Hours
Marking
1 mark is awarded for every correct answer in the Computer-Based Examination. The Skill Test is qualifying in nature.
Negative marking
0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer in the Computer-Based Examination. There is no negative marking in the Skill Test.
