The RRB Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) CBT-2 is the second stage of the Railway Recruitment Board Assistant Loco Pilot recruitment process. It consists of Part A and Part B. Part A evaluates candidates in Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Basic Science & Engineering, and General Awareness & Current Affairs. Part B is a qualifying trade test based on the candidate's relevant ITI, Diploma, or Engineering discipline. Duration

Part A: 90 Minutes Part B: 60 Minutes

Marking

* Part A: 100 objective questions carrying 100 marks. * Part B: 75 qualifying questions based on the relevant trade. * Only Part A marks are considered for shortlisting candidates for the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). Candidates must secure the prescribed qualifying marks in both Part A and Part B.

Negative marking

1/3 (0.33) mark is deducted for every incorrect answer in Part A. Part B is qualifying in nature, and candidates must secure 35% marks irrespective of category.

Preparation Tips

  • Focus primarily on Part A, as its marks determine shortlisting for CBAT.
  • Revise Mathematics and Reasoning concepts from the Class 10 level thoroughly.

  • Prepare your ITI/Diploma trade syllabus thoroughly for Part B.
  • Practice previous years' RRB ALP CBT-2 technical questions.
