The NIACL Administrative Officer (AO) Examination is conducted by The New India Assurance Company Limited (NIACL) to recruit Administrative Officers (Scale-I) in Generalist and Specialist disciplines. The selection process consists of a Preliminary Examination, Main Examination (Objective + Descriptive), and Interview. Duration

Preliminary: 60 Minutes Main: 2 Hours 30 Minutes + 30 Minutes (Descriptive)

Marking

* Preliminary Examination: 1 mark is awarded for every correct answer. * Main Examination: Objective Test carries 200 marks, while the Descriptive Test carries 30 marks. * The Descriptive Test is evaluated only for candidates qualifying in the Objective Test.

Negative marking

0.25 (one-fourth) of the marks assigned to a question are deducted for every incorrect answer in both the Preliminary and Main objective examinations. There is no negative marking in the Descriptive Test.
