Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC)
The LIC Assistant Examination is conducted by the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) to recruit Assistants in various regional offices across India. The selection process consists of a Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The Preliminary Examination is qualifying in nature, while the Main Examination determines the final merit.

Preliminary: 60 Minutes Main: 2 Hours 30 Minutes
Marking
* Preliminary Examination: 1 mark is awarded for every correct answer. * Main Examination: 1 mark is awarded for every correct answer. * The Preliminary Examination is qualifying in nature, while the Main Examination is considered for final selection.
Negative marking
0.25 (one-fourth) of the marks assigned to a question are deducted for every incorrect answer in both the Preliminary and Main objective examinations.
